CHI 2013
After returning from an amazing experience and conference CHI 2013, in Paris, and meeting some amazing people, I am looking forward to now polishing up our project Musical Embrace, and exploring new technologies to explore it's potential as a novel game installation.
Honours Update 07/03/2013
What a massive day it has been, here are some updates with what’s been happening with my honours research.
My research partner Anushka De Mel and I have been collaboratively researching and preparing Musical Embrace for CHI 2013, in Paris. We are very excited to announce that Musical Embrace has been accepted into Interactivity and the Video-showcase. Though the exciting news doesn’t end here, fifteen amazing people from the Exertion Games Lab have also been selected to showcase at CHI this year. At this stage we are now coming together and arranging flights, accommodation and how we are going to get all our equipment overseas, plus all that again incase of technical difficulties. Something to look forward to, but I’m sure we will figure it out as a team.
Today was also our first official Honours research class, who is being run by Danielle Kirby this year. Danielle has set us two major assignments for the year, with the focus being on ‘Mapping out alternate cultures you’re interested in’.
I’m very excited about our set project, and can’t wait to start progressing with it.
More exciting updates coming soon.

Attended GCAP 2012, in Melbourne, and it was a wonderful experience! I had the chance to met Chris Avellone and Robin Hunicke. On top of this it was a great learning experience and an insight into how different members of the gaming industry approach their art. Can't wait for next years event!
